Location: Evans, CO (this position is based at our Weld Campus but oversees staff at all campuses)

Reports To: Associate Director of Operations

Schedule: Work schedules vary between 7:30am-7:30pm Monday-Friday and 7:30am-5:30pm Saturday-Sunday and are subject to change. Schedule will include a weekend shift and may include overnights, holidays, special events, and emergencies, as needed.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and supervise a team of Foster & Transfer Coordinators and volunteers, ensuring the smooth operation of our foster and animal transfer programs.
Train and develop staff while providing coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities.
Oversee animal foster care and transfer logistics, including conducting foster home inspections, managing foster appointments, and transporting animals to placement partners, sometimes out-of-state and overnight.
Maintain compliance with PACFA regulations, monitor animal health and behavior, and ensure the highest standards of care.
Be a key player in the organization’s mission by implementing protocols, tracking data, and managing the department’s budget and supplies.
Perform euthanasia as assigned and participate in euthanasia decisions.

Who You Are:

You have a heart for animals and experience in animal welfare, care, or sheltering.
You’re an experienced leader, ready to manage a team and provide hands-on support to ensure the success of the foster and transfer programs.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, have great organizational skills, and can juggle multiple tasks while remaining calm under pressure.
You’re flexible, able to work varying shifts including weekends, holidays, and occasional overnights.
You’re comfortable driving long distances and are ready to travel between campuses and foster homes.

Qualifications:

At least 1 year of staff supervision experience.
Hands-on experience with companion animals and animal care.
At least 1 year of Animal welfare, animal health, or related field experience.
Previous foster care coordinator experience is a plus.
Valid Colorado Driver’s License and an insurable driving record.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus!

Expected hiring range is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour commensurate with experience and education. Closes December 31st, 2024, or when filled.
