The Medical Director oversees two full-time & ~ 27 additional full & part time vets & animal health techs responsible for direct animal medical care. This is a job for someone who loves being a Veterinarian, likes to lead, is strong in communications, supporting their team, setting goals, making adjustments & driving service levels to meet & exceed expectations.
This is an important medical & leadership role w responsibility over a passionate committed team managing about 7,000 spay/neuter surgeries per yr. Ideal candidates will have direct experience overseeing & leading a complex daily ops delivering medical services to a diverse community while training, developing, engaging & encouraging a team of dedicated pros and volunteers, managing to a budget, tracking & monitoring staff activities, holding volunteers, third parties, individuals & teams accountable, managing performance, assuring compliance w dept, county & state standards on service delivery, building espirit-de-corps, balancing competing priorities w limited resources & cooperating w peers in the delivery of direct animal care, shelter ops, meeting the mission of the ACS Division.
This is a role for a team builder, listener & hands-on leader, working vet, capable of directing, managing and developing confidence, capabilities & coordination across a diverse population of employees, residents and stake holders.

Sal $112.7 -$172.2 +5% + City Benes.
