Job Description

The Shelter Manager works in concert with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to fulfill the mission of the organization and provide for the welfare of the animals in our care. Responsible for the effective daily management of MEOW staff (paid & volunteer), oversight of shelter operations, promotion of positive relations with the public and our affiliates. Provides positive leadership for the efficient and smooth functioning of all shelter operations, in accordance with established policies and procedures, city ordinances, state and federal laws and regulations. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, rescue partners, and the public. Ensures that the facility is maintained in a sanitary and safe condition to protect the health of the animals, staff, volunteers, and visitors. Reports to the Executive Director.
