Job Description

The Travel Assistant is responsible for coordination of all DPFL scheduling and travel. The Travel Assistant will work closely with the Chief Innovation Officer to communicate with clients and prospective clients to deliver DPFL programming as requested and will provide administrative support to DPFL’s leadership team to be able to support all functions of the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Serve as primary contact for interested shelters. Provide timely and professional responses to inquiries, questions, and requests for scheduling
-Book and communicate with employees and independent contractors to fill vacancies in schedule
-Research, book, and change travel plans including flights, accommodations, and rental cars according to needs
-Work with CIO to approve sponsorships for seminars and training opportunities.
-Direct follow up communication to appropriate personnel in a timely and professional manner
-Maintain accurate internal and published calendar
-Work with CIO to ensure accurate billing and cost analysis for DPFL programs
-Provide administrative support in all business functions
-Continuous research to improve DPFL systems to maximize efficiency and dollars spent on travel and programs
-Perform other related duties as requested

Job Qualifications
Education and Experience:
-At the discretion of the CEO
-At least one year of experience in an administrative leadership role


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Must embrace the mission of Dogs Playing for Life
-Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Be a “self-starter” and goal driven
-Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and animals, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense, and good listening ability.
-Knowledge of Google Suite required

Working Conditions:
-Office and animal shelter environment.
-Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
-Frequent use of computer and telephone.
-Infrequent travel by airplane and car

Salary: $15-$17/HR DOE
