Job Description

PURRR Rescue and Adoption Sanctuary is looking for an experienced vet tech looking to grow and learn with a nonprofit and make a difference.

The position involves daily medicating (pilling, giving injections, oral medications, etc., eye drops, etc.), monitoring, blood draws, lab work, fluid administration, just to name a few things. You WILL need availability on weekends and sometimes evenings since we work with animals that do not understand business hours. The ability to work under pressure and stay calm in an emergency is absolutely essential.
Experience caring for animals in a medical or animal shelter setting using fear free animal handling techniques.
Comfort around all types of pet animals required
A team player willing to jump in and help in any area.
Motivated with a desire to learn and grow and dedicated and passionate about saving lives.
Strong communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time
