As a vet assistant, you are a trusted member of the veterinary surgery team. You’ll be trusted to provide exceptional veterinary care under the direction of veterinarians. This position is ideal for an individual that enjoys working with a close team, loves a fast-paced environment, and enjoys providing compassionate care to animals. In early 2022, Valley Humane will open the Phil Scholz Veterinary Surgery Center. This new venture will allow Valley Humane to expand lifesaving in the Tri-Valley community. This position will be part-time to start, then move to full-time as services expand.
Working at the Phil Scholz Veterinary Surgery Center is more than surgery, its saving and impacting the lives of both homeless and owned dogs and cats in the TriValley.

Some of your responsibilities you will own in your role:
Surgical preparation of patients, anesthetic monitoring, patient recovery, administering medications and vaccination’s, client education and more.
Basic Requirements: 1-2 years in a veterinary medical environment. NO WEEKENDS!
Work Schedule: Part time, with a full time option plus benefits
