Job Description

Washington County Humane Society (WCHS) seeks a full-time (30-40 hours per week) HQHVSN Wellness/Surgical Veterinarian to lead the shelter’s medical team. The role pays between $125,000-$130,000 dependent upon experience. 

Daily tasks and variety
*High-Quality, High-Volume Spay & Neuter (65%): Perform HQHVSN on shelter, rescue, and outdoor community cats. Work with dogs, cats and occasionally rabbits and other small animals. 
*Medical Care for Shelter Animals (25%): Perform vet checks and offer care to shelter animals, fosters, rescue animals, and community cats, including but not limited to rabies exams and vaccines, CVI’s, UAs, interpreting bloodwork, reviewing x-rays, and discussing treatment plans.
*Non-S/N & Dental Services (10%): Perform dental extractions and other types of surgeries such as enucleations, amputations, cherry eye, and entropion.
