Keep more cats in their homes by reducing the number surrendered to shelters due to solvable behavior issues. Course participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of cat behavior and be able to assist cat owners in identifying the causes of most cat behavior issues and methods of resolving them.
Participants will follow a curriculum that includes two hours of video presentations, a student workbook and the book Starting from Scratch: How to Correct Behavior Problems in Your Adult Cat by renowned certified cat behavior consultant, Pam Johnson-Bennett.
After successful completion of this course, participants will be able to assist cat owners and caretakers with most cat behavior issues including elimination outside of the litter box, inappropriate scratching of objects, climbing/jumping on inappropriate surfaces, conflicts between cats in the household, and various types of biting or scratching behaviors directed towards people in the household.
