Job Description

The Adoption & Foster Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Adoption and Foster Programs at Adopt-A-Dog, including volunteer management. This role involves coordinating adoptions and foster placements, managing program operations, promoting animals available for adoption and fostering through social media, and handling alumni relations. The coordinator will ensure a smooth process for potential adopters and fosters and will work closely with other team members to maintain effective program operations.

Bachelor’s degree in social work, animal science, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in animal welfare, adoption, or foster programs is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation.
Experience with basic animal care and medical needs.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and coordinate with various departments.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
