Job Description

Under the direction of the Director, the Animal Care Shelter Manager will oversee animal care and daily operations of the animal sheltering section. Ensures humane housing and care of animals pertaining to state statute, sheltering standards and department policies. Develops standard operating policy and procedures Manages and supervises personnel, manages inventory, coordinates assigned activities with other departments, external agencies, and the public. Prepares advanced and complex metrics data and gap analysis for the department. Employee supervision includes hire selection, training oversight, performance assessment, coaching, disciplinary and termination actions.
