Job Description

The Animal Care Supervisor provides all animals at the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society (GAHS) with professional, conscientious, compassionate care, utilizing Fear-Free principles, and adhering to Association of Shelter Veterinarian guidelines to ensure safe and humane treatment. Implements innovative services and behavioral care, enriching the emotional and behavioral well-being of the animals sheltered at GAHS, while exemplifying the GAHS core values. This position is responsible for the coordination, training and direct supervision of animal care/adoption staff and volunteers. As part of the shelter management team, this position participates in a wide variety of shelter functions and is a significant voice in determining shelter strategy and future programming.
