Job Description

Responsible for the development and implementation of HOV’s behavior and enrichment program by advocating for each animal’s behavioral needs and individualized care. Performs canine behavior evaluations in a timely manner and in accordance with HOV policies and procedures. Develops and implements individualized behavior and enrichment plans for long-stay and behaviorally flagged animals to improve quality of life and increase adoptability. Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates behavior department staff. Educates and oversees enrichment functions of staff and volunteers. Maintains and/or facilitates wellness communications to Vet Staff, Operations Director and Executive Director (when applicable).
