Job Description
Position Overview:The Director of Veterinary Services will be responsible for the strategic vision and planning of The Bond Between Veterinary Services. This individual will spend 50% of their time on administrative work and 50% veterinary practice. The Director of Veterinary Services will hold the DEA license for the organization and will work closely with the veterinary team and the Vice President to ensure compliance.
Position Responsibilities:
*Oversees the strategic vision for all veterinary services at The Bond Between including vision planning for future growth and organizational plans
*Manages the budget of the Vet Center department as well as forecasts for future growth
*Manages the Practice Manager(s) for each veterinary team including onboarding and coaching, reviews, and performance management
*Collaborate with Marketing to ensure that the client facing Vet Center is being marketed efficiently based on Vet Center needs
*Collaborate with Rescue Operations team to ensure that rescue medicine for our foster animals is meeting standards of care
*Collaborate with Development team to assist in the completion of grant applications for the vetting needs of the organization; includes grant reporting when applicable
*Collaborate with Community Engagement team to help identify opportunities and implement community veterinary services with The Bond Between veterinary team
*Stay up to date and ensure that The Bond Between is maintaining proper standards of practice per the Board of Animal Health and MVMA standards.
Required Experience:
*Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Licensure (DVM)
*4+ years of veterinary clinic experience
*2+ years of rescue or shelter veterinary care
*Hold current DEA license (The BB will pay to transfer if out of state or reimburse for new)
*1-2+ years of leadership experience with; superior judgment and disciplined decision-making approach, analytical, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
*Strong communication skills both in written and oral format
*Self-starter and highly motivated
*Proficient computer and technology skills: Clinic Software, Gmail, Google Docs, etc.
*Great organizational skills and time management skills

Pay: From $130,000.00 per year
