Job Description

Caroline County Humane Society (CCHS) is searching for an organized, energetic Executive Director with a passion for saving animals. The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for the strategic direction and management of CCHS. The ED must operate the shelter efficiently and effectively to achieve the mission and budget goals. The ED serves as the dynamic liaison between the Board of Directors, the shelter staff, and the community. The ED will direct the administrative, financial, managerial, and supervisory activities to reflect the policies and goals of CCHS. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills are mandatory.
Applicant should have experience with revenue and development planning. Experience in a senior leadership role with an animal rescue/shelter organization is a plus. An ideal candidate will have knowledge of (or the willingness to educate themselves on) progressive sheltering practices used to increase live release rates. Creativity and thinking out of the box would be valuable traits.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,000 for the first three months then $65,000 per year.
