Job Description

We are looking for an individual to take the Taos County Humane Society d/b/a Stray Hearts Animal Shelter to the level of service excellence that Taos deserves. Stray Hearts needs a strong leader.
• You will be working with an incredible staff and dedicated volunteers and will expand, develop,
coach and lead the Stray Hearts team.
• You will actively engage and energize Stray Hearts Directors, community organizations, partner
groups, government agencies and funding entities.
• You will evaluate our current systems and processes and implement improvements where
necessary.
The qualities that we seek in our Executive Director are:
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Fearless fundraising talent.
• Creative marketing and inspired public relations experience.
• Action oriented, adaptable, innovative and ability to collaborate with diverse groups of people.
• Past success working with a Board of Directors.
• Appreciation and knowledge of the unique cultures within Taos and Northern New Mexico.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least five years of senior management experience.
