Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Kennel Assistant. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to the animals in our facility.
Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 8:30am- 4:00pm
One Saturday and Sunday a month - 8:30am - 4:00pm
Duties:
- Provide daily care and attention to cats and dogs in the kennel
- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their individual needs
- Clean and maintain kennels, cages, and common areas
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the veterinary staff
- Assist with administering medications as directed
- Assist with grooming and bathing of animals
- Handle animals safely and with compassion during procedures or examinations
- Assist with basic training exercises for dogs
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatments
- Assist in meet and greets to potential adopters
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Must have a genuine love for animals and a desire to provide them with the best care possible
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week

8 hour shift
