As the Nevins Farm Adoption Center Manager you would join our Management team at our 55 acre animal care complex that provides adoption services for companion and farm animals as well as low cost veterinary services through our Community Clinic. If you are adept at communication, organization, love a fast paced environment and have the ability to motivate and inspire our Animal Adoption Center team, you are the applicant we are looking for.

Our Manager will directly supervise on-going performance of animal care staff and volunteers and lead daily MSPCA Adoption Center shelter operations, including the intake, care, adoption, and euthanasia of animals.

The Adoption Center Manager will serve as a role model and reinforce a positive approach and culture to interactions with staff, volunteers, visitors and members of the public. The Manager will also develop and implement training plans for new and current employees.

Additional responsibilities include

Lead group discussions on plans for individual animals.  Along with the Director of Operations and Assistant Adoption Center Manager, guide staff through the discussion of animals for adoption, euthanasia, or return to owner situations. 
Counsel through surrenders and adoptions that present with a higher degree of complexity.
Handle problem situations involving the general public in conjunction with the Assistant Adoption Center Manager and Director of Operations.
In conjunction with the volunteer coordinator, work to foster a positive and supportive culture aimed at the inclusion, development and integration of volunteers into our collective goals.
Assist in the hiring of new staff which includes reviewing applications, interviewing applicants, hiring, onboarding and training of new staff.
