Overview
The Senior Director, Infrastructure (IT and Facilities) leads the strategy and implementation around HSSV’s IT and Facilities functions, which are critical to enabling the work we do today and our ability to scale. This individual will drive, optimize, and ensure successful delivery of IT and Facilities infrastructure and related operations that enable capabilities and services across the organization and its multiple locations. This includes leveraging innovative solutions to ensure the resiliency, availability, efficiency, security, and scalability of all environments, networks, computer services, storage devices, and facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and develop a high-performing team, including hiring, team building, training, goal setting, and performance management.
Create and execute a comprehensive and cost effective IT and facilities strategies ensuring alignment with organizational goals and ability to maximize space and technology for the main site as well as offsite services.
Ensure a high level of physical and digital security across entire organization: physical site, equipment, IT hardware, network, and software. Implement and enforce security policies to protect infrastructure from threats and ensure IT infrastructure adheres to and complies with corporate cybersecurity policies and relevant regulatory, data classification/privacy, and industry standards.
Responsible for the creation, design, and management of infrastructure and services (space planning, networks, telecommunications, and servers), supporting architecture and roadmaps to ensure the selection, deployment, and lifecycle management of appropriate services.
Develop creative solutions for systems and processes, leveraging a deep understanding of IT and facilities principles.
Partner with a core group of expert service providers for the breadth and depth of skills needed to deliver successful IT and facilities services. Ensure service delivery is aligned with contractual obligations.
Drive metrics for service performance, availability, and reliability and develop/test backup and recovery plans.
Cultivate a culture of innovation that strives to achieve results through experimenting with different solutions. Promote and actively demonstrate cross-collaboration and a “service culture” within the team as a support system for all the departments at HSSV.
Develop and manage budgets while achieving desired outcomes and continuous cost-optimization.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
Proven IT and facilities leadership experience inspiring an ambitious team at both the strategic and operational level.
Extensive IT experience with successful implementations and management of core corporate applications such as CRM, Marketing, Finance, HR, email, and document management as well as niche applications such as project management, time tracking, asset management, etc.
Strong security experience including developing policy, managing incident responses, ensuring PCI compliance, network penetration testing, etc.
Broad knowledge of personal device management, system design, and network architecture,
Strong facilities background including preventive maintenance, ongoing maintenance, replacement, enhancement projects and construction of site additions.
Experience implementing safety programs, managing OSHA, fire protection, hazardous waste etc.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex matters, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans with strong influencing and negotiating skills.
Experience with budget management for IT and facility purposes.
Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with internal and external audiences in various communication styles and with multiple stakeholders.
Effective influencing and negotiation skills in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to streamline operational capabilities to deliver efficiency, while balancing internal needs.
Experience in finding and managing outstanding vendors who augment organizational capabilities.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to partner across department and all levels, ensuring that efforts are aligned.
Must be high energy and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed goals in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical/data-driven skills.
Enthusiastic approach to work, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to team building and culture.
Advanced project management skills, with demonstrated success in managing large projects, meeting tight timelines, and attention to follow-up.
Work Days and Hours
This is a full-time position predominantly on-site (schedule to be determined based on having appropriate coverage with the team for weekends and events); may include responding during off hours for emergencies..
