This is a full time temporary summer only position

Are you passionate about animals and love working with kids? Are you planning to pursue a degree in children’s education or animal science? Then we have a great summer position for you!

The MSPCA at Nevins Farm is seeking an outgoing, dynamic young adult to fill our Children’s Summer Camp Counselor position. Our summer day camp runs from June 3rd through August 9th and hosts over 288 children with sessions for kids ranging from the age of 6 to the age of 14.

Our camp offers hands on animal care opportunities, education sessions about current animal welfare issues from guest speakers, and arts and crafts.

We are seeking dynamic young counselors with an interest in education and a passion for animal welfare. Ideal candidates would be self-motivated, experienced with working with kids of various ages, experience as a camp counselor, and comfortable with all species of animals, like cats, dogs, and farm animals.

Applicant requirements:

Age 17 or older
CPR and first aid certified (cost covered by MSPCA)
College major in education preferred
Previous camp counselor experience preferred
Availability for full 10 weeks of camp
