Job Description

Enforces and applies laws and regulations of the Illinois Animal Control Act and Will County Animal Control Ordinances concerning animal bites and animal welfare. Prepares daily written reports and testifies at hearings as necessary. Apprehends, transports, and impounds animals that have bitten, are strays, injured or diseased. Must respond to daytime calls and assigned on call/afterhours duties to provide emergency services as required. This position is temporary and will not exceed 1,000 hours.
