Job Description

Reporting to Lucky Dog’s Lead Veterinarian, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue’s (LDAR) Staff Veterinarian will be a critical part of a fast-growing team dedicated to saving lives and helping animals in our community. Working at our one of a kind South Carolina Rescue Campus, our Staff Veterinarian will not only help care for animals in our care, but will practice high volume spay/neuter surgeries for other shelter clients and the community as well as providing low-cost wellness care for animals in need.

Opened in March 2023, Lucky Dog's Rescue Campus includes our vet clinic, state of the art ICU building, ringworm treatment building, and Stopover Station Transfer Kennels. We are currently raising money for phase 2 of construction to include a second dog kennel building and a cat building, complete with kitten nursery.

Currently Lucky Dog is leading a potentially ground-breaking heartworm treatment study which we hope will change the way shelter animals with heartworm disease are treated.
