Job Description

This is professional work which involves the medical and surgical oversight of a large-scale public animal care facility. Position requires implementing shelter medicine training in providing consistent population health oversight, individual animal treatment plans and a commitment to live outcomes. Incumbent is key to establishing supervised protocol-based care and systems, policy and procedure. Supervision may be exercised over subordinate technician personnel; Does related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be currently and actively licensed to practice as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in New York State at time of appointment. License must be, and remain, current and up to date specific to NYS License and mandate requirements.
