Job Description

Marion County Animal Services (MCAS) is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team! This essential role involves assisting with surgery and performing clinical and medical tasks within the department. Our Veterinary Technicians are key contributors to the safe and humane handling and care of the animals in our facility.

Key responsibilities include:

-Triage, pre-operative, and post-operative care for animals.
-Administering and monitoring anesthesia.
-Assisting veterinarians during surgeries and medical procedures.
-Ensuring proper care and treatment plans are followed for all animals.

This position requires compassion, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Under the supervision of our Animal Center Veterinarians, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of the nearly 9,000 animals we care for annually.
