Aimee St. Arnaud is a business partner in two full-service veterinary clinics (Community Pet Care Clinic in Ohio and Open Door Veterinary Care in North Carolina) that focus on removing barriers to care and increasing access to veterinary services while maintaining a net positive revenue. She created Open Door Veterinary Collective, a nonprofit that mentors practices that want to replicate this business model as a way to help more pets and families while reducing the moral stress for the veterinary team. Open Door Veterinary Collective also provides online CE trainings, a locator to connect families to pet services, veterinary social work support and a veterinary assistance fund.
Aimee’s prior mentorship experience includes working at the ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance, where she and her team developed six training programs that helped more than 170 clinics get started and trained over 1,000 veterinary professionals annually in efficient spay/neuter techniques. Aimee then opened Humane Ohio, a spay/neuter clinic performing over 17,000 surgeries annually.
