Ashley Valm, CPDT-KA

Shelter Behavior Manager, Humane Rescue Alliance

Ashley started working in animal behavior over 10 years ago, initially as an in-home trainer specializing in severe behavior issues. She joined the Humane Rescue Alliance, formerly the Washington Animal Rescue League, in 2011 where she taught classes and counseled adopters and members of the public. Since 2016 Ashley has managed a team of trainers and assisted in the launch of innovative behavior programs that continue to help animals thrive while they are in our care and support the needs of our adopters. Ashley is an alumna of Hollins University. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband, two daughters, and three dogs.
