Head of International Projects and Relations, Mayhew

Caroline joined the animal welfare world thanks to a meeting with HSI whilst living and working in Moscow, Russia, in 2003, which lead to work with Mayhew on her return to the UK. Eighteen years on, Caroline has helped build Mayhew into one of the most effective animal welfare charities in London, more than just a shelter, but focusing on community outreach and working to address root causes of issues in our communities through support, guidance and care for vulnerable owners and vulnerable dogs and cats in need.

Caroline has also grown Mayhew’s international work with branches now in Afghanistan and Georgia, working both with government authorities and at grassroots level to create safer and healthier communities for dogs, cats and local people alike.
