Emily Dolan, PhD
Director, Research, ASPCA
Dr. Emily Dolan is a Public Health Researcher working for the past 6 years at the ASPCA as a Director of Research in the Department of Strategy & Research. Dr. Dolan is an author on several publications focusing on animal sheltering and conducts research on a wide range of animal welfare issues including prediction of orphan kitten survival and the implications of spay/neuter timing on relocation programs. She specializes in evaluating programs, designing research studies, developing measurement tools, conducting data analyses, and writing research publications. Her previous research experience includes evaluation of a national health initiative for the Veteran's Health Administration and biobehavioral cancer prevention research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Dr. Dolan, an alumni of the University of Washington, lives outside of Seattle with her 2 cats.
