Jace Huggins
Chief Animal Control Officer, City of Sacramento
As chief of field services for the City of Sacramento’s Front Street Shelter, Jace considers himself a lifelong animal welfare professional, from bathing dogs at his aunt’s grooming shop to being an intensive care unit technician at the renowned UC Davis Vet med teaching hospital. He never imagined landing in animal law enforcement, but he has found that sweet spot that allows him to help animals, shape change in his community and bring justice to those animals who need it most. His passion lies in outreach, education and investigations.
