Jessica Simpson is a public policy specialist for the Humane Society of the United States. Her work focuses on eliminating housing barriers for pet owners, expanding access to veterinary care through telemedicine, repealing breed-specific legislation, and developing legislative strategies for companion animal protection laws at the local, state and federal level. After graduating with a B.A. in communication studies from Christopher Newport University, she briefly served with the National Park Service before moving back to Washington, D.C., to join the Humane Society Legislative Fund and pursue a career in animal welfare and public policy.
