Full-Time Wednesday–Saturday Schedule Management Role
Pet Helpers is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven Adoption Manager to help connect rescue animals with loving, responsible forever families. The ideal candidate believes every animal deserves a home, embraces a non-judgmental adoption philosophy, and has a passion for match-making animals with adopters.
About the Role
As Adoption Manager, you will:
Lead and grow our adoption program
Support adopters through counseling and post-adoption success
Mentor and train staff on customer service and best practices
Promote adoptable animals and maintain current listings
Build relationships with rescues, shelters, and transfer partners
Maintain accurate records and reporting (including Shelter Animal Counts)
Utilize PetPoint and AviMark for data management
Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) during scheduled shifts
Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who have:
Compassion for animals and people
Belief that every animal deserves a home
Passion for adoption match-making and retention
Strong communication and leadership skills
Experience in sheltering, veterinary, or related field (required)
Supervisory or team leadership experience (required)
Comfort working in a fast-paced, emotional environment
Recordkeeping and data accuracy skills
PetPoint/AviMark experience (preferred, or willingness to learn)
Schedule & Compensation
Required Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday
Status: Full-Time, Management
Salary: $42,000 – $47,000 DOE
