POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision and direction of the Chief of Police, the Animal Care Center Director (Humane Supervisor) is responsible for the overall management, planning, and supervision of the City of Grants Animal Care Center. This position oversees day-to-day operations, humane care, treatment, and outcomes for animals; manages shelter staff and volunteers; coordinates with rescue and adoption partners; and ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal animal welfare laws and regulations. The Director provides leadership in humane animal care practices, fiscal management, community engagement, and public transparency, while fostering a culture of compassion, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
