Job Description

McKamey Animal Center seeks an experienced animal behavior and training professional with excellent teamwork skills committed to applying fear-free and science-based approaches to improve the emotional and behavioral well-being of the animals in our care and support the community we serve in healthy and safe animal adoption and caretaking. Working collaboratively with staff and volunteers, the successful candidate will bring their professional credentials to bear in furtherance of: assessing animals for determination of appropriate placement pathways; developing and implementing behavior modification plans to improve the adoptability of animals; ensuring that each animal receives appropriate enrichment and socialization each and every day; and moving animals through the shelter system in a timely and efficient manner.
