Position Title: Clinic Manager

Reports To: Chief Medical Officer

Position Summary: The Clinic Manager is responsible for the daily operation of MCSPCA’s Veterinary Clinic and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, policies and laws. The Clinic Manager maintains the clinic’s schedule, manages inventory, supports the Clinic’s veterinary team, supervises support staff and coordinates with program staff to meet the medical needs of MCSPCA’s animals and the animals of MCSPCA’s clients.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work collaboratively within all levels of the organization and across departments to cultivate a positive culture and team approach to fulfilling MCSPCA’s mission
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures as it relates to clinic operations
• Provide daily leadership, direction, and supervision with hands on support to client service staff, veterinary assistants/technicians, veterinarians and volunteers
• Maintain efficiency of clinic operations by optimum scheduling of shelter animals and clientele for clinical services
• Manage the Clinic’s database and ensure complete medical records are kept on all clients and patients
• Responsible for processing payments, client billing and following all MCSPCA accounting procedures
• Manage medical supply inventories
• Oversee and schedule equipment maintenance, repairs, and state licensing
• Assist with scheduling of outside veterinary resources for procedures not available at MCSPCA’s clinic
• Oversee humane care and treatment of public and shelter animals kenneled at the clinic
• Facilitate and oversee vaccine clinics
• Assist in the development of, and work within, an annual budget and fulfill all requirements of an annual audit
• Remain knowledgeable and in compliance with MCSPCA Personnel Guidelines, applicable State and Federal laws and MCSPCA policies, procedures and programs
• Support programs and activities of MCSPCA as requested

EXPERIENCE/ATTRIBUTES DESIRED:

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in veterinary clinic procedures and regulations through any equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Experience working in a high volume spay/neuter clinic and at least two years in a supervisory and/or management position preferred
• Must possess strong organizational, customer service, oral and written communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment with other veterinary professionals and staff
