Job Title: Best Friends Animal Society Culinary Ambassador - Kanab, UT
Hiring Range: $15.60 hourly, plus great benefits!
Interviews: Beginning week of April 7th, 2025
*Temporary position
Work Schedule: 7:00am-3:00pm (flexible) Saturday -Wednesday

The position involves preparing quality, healthy vegan lunches and participating in catering functions, workshops, and special dinners for sanctuary-wide events. The role serves employees, volunteers, founders, and visitors, ensuring excellent service and cleanliness.

Essential Duties:
- Prepare, serve, and handle food, including special meal substitutes.
- Maintain buffet, salad bar, and drink areas.
- Provide guest service during peak lunch periods and ensure a clean dining environment.
- Wash dishes and perform routine and deep cleaning tasks.
- Participate in on-site and off-site catering events.
- Safely operate kitchen equipment and comply with health codes.
- Perform physical tasks such as unloading deliveries and maintaining equipment.

Skills & Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required; training provided for suitable candidates.
- Team-oriented, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills for email and document management.

Physical & Additional Requirements:
- Capable of lifting 40 pounds and working in varied weather conditions.
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays, with occasional evenings.
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility for company insurance.
