Job Description

The Organization—The Licking County Humane Society (“LCHS”), located in Heath, Ohio, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit shelter dedicated to the humane treatment of animals. Since its establishment in 1966, LCHS has rescued animals to improve lives, helping pets and their people. It has a $2.7MM budget and approximately 50 employees.
The Position - The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of LCHS and serves as a dynamic liaison between the Board, volunteers of the Society, shelter staff, donors, and the greater Licking County community. This individual is responsible for the overall management and operation of the Humane Society in compliance with Board-adopted policies and with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and laws. The Executive Director provides the leadership to sustain current and future operations through strategic planning, financial management, and personnel management.
