Are you a friendly, outgoing individual with a passion for animal welfare? Join Palmetto Animal League as our Foster Care Coordinator! In this role, you will recruit, train, and support dedicated volunteers and foster families, ensuring they feel engaged and empowered in our mission to care for homeless pets.

Responsibilities:
Recruit, train and manage foster volunteers, building lasting relationships with foster parents.
Provides ongoing support and education to foster parents.
Maintain accurate and thorough records of foster parents, placements, feedback from foster parents, and pets in need of foster care placement.
Manage foster care program supply inventories.
Perform routine medical care on foster animals such as; wellness exams, vaccines, deworming, etc.
Collaborate with the medical team to ensure timely care of all sick/injured foster pets.
Collaborate with the adoptions team to market and adopt out pets from foster homes.
Coordinates foster department community events.

Qualifications:
Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including strong public speaking skills.
Experience in volunteer management or animal care is preferred.
Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Proven project and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and respond promptly to requests.
Basic knowledge of animal care, with previous experience handling cats and dogs.
Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Google Suite; familiarity with ShelterLuv or similar shelter/veterinary software is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Open-mindedness towards change and a willingness to learn, implement, and teach new procedures.
Physical ability to bend, stand, lift, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
