Job Description

The primary work of this position involves performing spay/neuter surgeries (majority feline) at our clinic for publicly owned and shelter animals, as well as provide medical exams and treatment plans for our shelter pets. Our spay/neuter clinic is well organized and fast paced with a well trained medical team with pre-established medically sound protocols to allow you to focus primarily on surgery and patient care.

There is a potential of hosting vaccine clinics in the future in addition to our current spay/neuter services to further our goal of helping our community. This position has a set schedule that occasionally includes limited phone availability after hours to consult with staff and phone availability on prearranged weekends when needed. This position is part-time averaging 20 hours per week with each work day lasting from 9am-4pm.

Applicants must be currently licensed in the State of Oregon to practice veterinary medicine, have current DEA license, and have a minimum of 5 years of surgery experience, specifically with HQHVSN techniques.

Benefits include 50% health insurance coverage (limits apply), employer coverage for costs for conference fees OR online CE credits up to $1,000 every other year, and yearly paid time off of 80 hours. Current hourly wage for this role will range from $85-100/hr DOE.
