Job Description

The Live Outcome Coordinator plays a key role in securing positive outcomes for shelter animals in the most efficient and most effective way possible. This position utilizes industry best practices — including open adoptions, community cat management, pet retention, and transfer partnerships — to help achieve a 90% or greater save rate at the local municipal shelter. The Live Outcome Coordinator serves as the primary liaison to transfer partners and the community, while closely tracking outcomes and preparing reports for leadership review. Employed by the Humane Society of Sumter County but primarily based at Sumter County Animal Services, this role directly contributes to reducing shelter deaths and saving lives in a sustainable and impactful way.
