Location: Remote (U.S.-based), preference given to NC residents

Compensation: $50k Base + Commission (Commission tied to recruitment of animal shelters ranked in the top 500 nationally)

We partner with animal shelters to give stray intakes more visibility through our public lost & found database and massive social media reach. Our system is automated, integrates with major shelter software, and is completely free for shelters to use.

-- Role Overview --
PawBoost is seeking a Shelter Outreach & Engagement Lead to join our marketing team. This person will be responsible for initiating contact and recruiting new shelter partners – primarily through cold calling and email – with the goal of increasing shelter return-to-home rates by expanding the reach of stray intake listings.

You’ll step into a system that’s already proven and working, but we’re looking for someone who’s driven, persuasive on the phone, compassionate, and always hunting for ways to improve the outreach process. If you love the idea of combining sales with mission-driven work, we want to hear from you.

-- Key Responsibilities --
- Cold call animal shelters to introduce PawBoost’s free partnership program (minimum 80 calls/week)
- Manage outreach pipeline and follow up with prospects to move them through the funnel
- Track and manage contacts, activity, and conversions in our CRM (HubSpot)
- Drive shelter adoption of PawBoost by clearly communicating its value
- Monitor outreach effectiveness and implement improvements to increase conversion
- Meet and exceed shelter acquisition goals, especially within the top 500 shelters nationwide
- Collaborate with the marketing and management teams to share feedback from the field

- Comfortable with cold calling and handling objections with professionalism and confidence
- Willingness to learn and adapt based on what’s working
- Passionate about helping animals

-- Preferred Qualifications --
- 2+ years in sales, outreach, or recruitment roles
- Experience working at or with animal shelters or humane societies
- Familiarity with CRMs, especially HubSpot
- Technical curiosity or familiarity with shelter software platforms (e.g. Chameleon, Shelterluv, etc.)
