Job Description
Saving lives. One surgery at a time.Critter Fixers has been helping Robertson County residents access affordable spay and neuter since 2018. We're seeking veterinarians who are compassionate and realize what a vital role a spay and neuter clinic plays in a community.
We are a growing, yet rural county, just 35 minutes from Nashville, with a bustling, picturesque downtown area that has been used as a backdrop for many movies and music videos! There are multiple community events throughout the year, beautiful parks, walking trails, a dog park, a brewery, great restaurants and a general welcoming feeling.
A Day In The Life
This is an absolute perfect job for an introvert, as there is little to no interaction with owners! Your day starts around 730am with performing brief exams on the waiting surgical patients. We aim to have exams completed and the first animal ready for surgery by 9am. Our surgery suite is bright and cheerful, complete with two windows, two surgical lights and two surgical tables, maximizing efficiency between patients. Our highly trained staff preps the animals and ensures that your next client is always ready on the surgery table behind you. Your day ends once surgeries are completed, surgical notes are made and all animals are out of recovery and back into their kennels. This is generally around 230pm. No weekends. No holidays. No evenings. Approximate # of working hours per week if full time: 28

The visit to our clinic may be the only veterinary care that some of our clients ever receive. Your days will be far from boring.
Work full or part-time.
The clinic is open Monday-Thursday. Work one-four days a week. Work load consists of approximately 25 cats and 10 dogs per day.
We are open to full-time or part-time.
If spay and neuter is your passion and you want to be here four days a week, great!
If you're high-volume clinic curious and only want to commit to one or two days per week, that could work too!
We are flexible and open to various scenarios.
We offer competitive pay and can pay daily if only working part-time. Full time $140,000-$160,000 per year. Daily $700-$800.
Duties
Conduct brief examinations of animals at intake to ensure they are healthy enough for surgery.
Perform 35+ spay/neuter surgeries per day at a 70/30, cat/dog ratio.
Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, documenting surgical notes.
Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment.
Willing to adhere to our surgery protocols and learn HQHVSN techniques.
Experience
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution is required.
Experience in a high volume surgical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
