Maui Humane Society is an open-air animal shelter for cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles, and other animals in need of safe shelter. We are the island’s only open-admission animal shelter, providing veterinary and routine care and helping surrendered animals find a new home. We also provide humane law enforcement services, humane education and outreach, and low-cost spay and neuter surgeries. Our team culture is creative, fast-paced, and collaborative and we are seeking problem-solvers who love animals and have great customer service skills. Our employees are trained in Fear-Free animal handling.Your role as a Shelter Veterinarian
As a Full-Time Shelter Veterinarian at Maui Humane Society, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality medical care to both shelter and public animals. Your expertise will be essential in overseeing the health management of our diverse animal population, which includes cats, dogs, rabbits, and more. You will perform an impressive average of 35-40 high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgeries daily while diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, conducting soft tissue surgeries, and participating in dental procedures. Collaborating closely with our dedicated team of three veterinarians and skilled support staff, you will contribute to developing and implementing effective medical protocols and standard operating procedures.
