Position: Full-Time or Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Expected hiring range is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour for Provisional Technicians and $25.00 to $28.00 per hour for Registered Technicians. Relocation assistance is available. Closes June 4th, 2025, or when filled.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with surgical procedures, including induction, intubation, monitoring, and recovery of patients.
• Maintain accurate records of medications, treatments, and surgeries using animal shelter software.
• Perform dental prophylaxis, radiographs, and assist in veterinary dentistry.
• Conduct physical exams and triage animals during intake.
• Administer medications, perform minor procedures (e.g., suture removal), and monitor anesthesia.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as fecal flotation, urinalysis, and cytology.
• Assist in the care and feeding of animals, ensuring their health and comfort.
• Perform humane euthanasia as assigned.
• Handle administrative tasks like laundry, cleaning instruments, and more.
• Work independently during assigned weekend shifts, ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Job Requirements:
• Certification/Registration: Must be a Colorado Credentialed/Registered/Provisional Veterinary Technician.
• Experience: At least one year of relevant veterinary technician experience. Must be proficient in intubation, IV catheter placement, and IV injection techniques.
• Animal Care: Experience in restraining animals, administering medications, and general animal care required.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented, emotionally intelligent, and able to work independently and in teams.
• Software: Familiarity with Chameleon software (or similar animal shelter software) is preferred.
• Language: Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus (wage premium available).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, handle animals of various sizes, and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Other: Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License and an insurable driving record. Willing to be rabies vaccinated and have intermittent titer testing.
