Iguanas, tegus, and other invasive reptiles create unique challenges for communities and animal protection agencies because of limited humane options for their capture and disposition. This webinar will look at the foundation issues of restricted sales and possession ordinances/statutes, community suggestions for structural exclusion, habitat modification, hazing/discouragement, and then discuss potential future control options and seasonal opportunistic controls. Florida with its 76 invasive reptile species gives us many lessons learned and ideas for your state or community to adopt early intervention strategies.
