Alexandre Ellis, DVM

Maddie’s Shelter Medicine Resident, Shelter Medicine Program, University of Wisconsin-Madison

Dr. Alexandre Ellis is currently completing a University of Wisconsin Maddie's Shelter Medicine Residency. Dr. Ellis completed his DVM at the University of Montreal in 2016. After graduation, he pursued a small animal rotating internship at the DMV Center in Montreal, Canada. In 2018, he moved to Madison to start his shelter medicine residency where he has been working as both a shelter veterinarian and a shelter consultant, helping shelters with infectious disease outbreaks, improving their efficiency and increasing their life-saving capacity.
