Daily Operations Manager, Fairfax County Animal Shelter

Cynthia became involved with animal welfare seven years ago and has not looked back once. She loves all aspects of being in a shelter environment and being a part of an organization that works so hard on saving lives and improving the quality of lives for both humans and animals. She started as the volunteer coordinator and loves how much volunteers give to an organization! She is now the Daily Operations Manager for the same large municipal open-access animal shelter and realized that there is always more to be done to help animals both in her community and beyond. When not at work, she loves to visit other rescues and shelters and try to learn something new, or she is reading, hiking, biking and puttering all with her best friend, Beau, by her side.
