Dani Rizzo

Digital Director, Humane Rescue Alliance

With a passion for purpose-driven communication and digital storytelling, Dani Rizzo currently serves as the digital director at the Humane Rescue Alliance, overseeing digital communication efforts, including web, social, and digital marketing. Before joining the Humane Rescue Alliance in 2016, Dani managed digital communication for a global development firm, in partnership with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), working with institutions worldwide to improve people’s quality of life. Most recently, she held the role of web communication manager at American University where she was responsible for managing web, social media strategy, and online marketing efforts to better promote the School of Communication. Dani is an alumna of American University, graduating with a masters in broadcast journalism and public affairs in 2011. In addition to animals, Dani has a passion for traveling and shares her life and home with her husband, her adopted cat, Coco, and an ever-rotating family of foster animals.
