Jocelyn Strassel, MS, CVT
Regional Behavioral Coordinator, MSPCA-Angell
Jocelyn Strassel has worked full time as the regional behavior coordinator at the MSPCA-Angell since 2016. In her role as a staff behaviorist, she primarily sees clients and their cats and dogs for behavior consults, and works closely with clients to implement the behavior plan. She also teaches dog obedience classes, kitten socialization & training classes, and assists with behavior problems in shelter animals.
Jocelyn earned her BA from Connecticut College in 1997 where she studied environmental science and zoology. She earned her vet tech certification and spent many years working as a vet tech in different areas of the veterinary field, including critical care, emergency and specialty services. Working in this field cultivated her interest in companion animal behavior, and in 2015, Jocelyn earned her MS in Companion Animal Behavior Analysis and Counseling from the American College of Applied Science. Her vet tech certification remains active, and additionally she is credentialed as a certified dog behavior consultant through the International Association of Animal Behavior. Jocelyn currently serves as an advisory board member for the Veterinary Technology Program at Massasoit Community College.
