Johnny Jenkins

Associate Relationship Manager, PetSmart Charities

Johnny is an experienced grant making professional with expertise in strategic grant-making and program management. He has managed multi-million-dollar grant portfolios to advance racial and economic justice, LGBT equality, and animal welfare. As a member of PetSmart Charities’ Relationship Management Team, Johnny is responsible for managing the adoption grant portfolio for the Eastern United States and Puerto Rico. In addition to his role to support finding homes for homeless pets, he also provides leadership to multiple Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives in Animal Welfare. Currently, Jenkins shares his passion for racial equity, diversity and inclusion to support initiatives at PetSmart Charities (Racial Equity Advisory Team Co-Lead), the Association for Animal Welfare Advancement (DEI Advisory Committee Co-Lead), and the Human Animal Support Services (HASS) Project DEI Advisory Committee. Johnny is a seasoned social justice advocate, and the proud pet parent of two very spirited Mini Schnauzers named Bianca and Izaiah.
