Justin Marceau

Law Professor, Brooks Institute for Animal Rights Research Professor

Justin Marceau is a professor of law at the University of Denver, the Brooks Institute Faculty Research Scholar of Animal Law and Policy, and a fellow at the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics. Professor Marceau is the author of more than 40 law review articles and essays, and two textbooks. His first book, Beyond Cages was published by Cambridge University Press in 2019. He has taught at Harvard Law School and the University of California, Irvine, and he was inducted as a member of the American Law Institute 2020, the most prestigious national organization for practicing lawyers and law professors. He does a considerable amount of work with animal protection groups as an expert, a consultant and as an attorney of record.
