Sarah Boman

Sarah is a principal of Animal Arts, an architectural firm in Boulder, Colorado that has exclusively designed animal shelters, veterinary hospitals, and other animal care facilities since 1979. She has been with the firm for seven years and has worked on award-winning veterinary projects, numerous animal shelter facilities, and projects for guide dog campuses. Sarah’s work with shelters focuses on designing environments that reduce animal stress, create efficiencies for staff, and improve outcomes for sheltered and community animals. Some of her recent projects include Animal Rescue League of Boston; Humane Animal Rescue, Pittsburgh; Placer County Animal Services Center; Pima Animal Care Center; Guide Dogs for the Blind; Cleveland Animal Protective League; and Hawaii Island Humane Society. Sarah has spoken about animal shelter design at Texas Unites for Animals.
